What is Oliveda?

Founded by Thomas Lommel, Oliveda takes its name from the Latin word for olive, highlighting the core ingredient in all its products. Oliveda is a skincare brand under Olive Tree People, a German company specializing in wellness products made with olive tree extracts. The company emphasizes using olive tree leaves, olive oil, and various extracts from olive trees and olive leaves to enhance the health of the gut, skin, hair, and body.

After two decades of success in Germany and other European markets, Oliveda expanded to the United States in March 2023 ( I joined in April of 2024). The brand incorporates Hydroxytyrosol (a main ingredient in most of Oliveda’s products), antioxidants, polyphenols, and other natural compounds from olives. They cultivate and protect extensive mountain olive tree groves in the Arroyomolinos de León region of Spain, sourcing their olive tree extracts from these well-preserved areas. 

As the waterless skincare market booms, Oliveda is at the forefront of brands making waves in Vogue, among celebrities, and people like me who are aging and looking for clean, sustainable, and effective skincare!
