FRACTURED

From the outside looking in, Elizabeth had the perfect life. She had a family who loved her, numerous friends, and a successful career. No one knew the hurt, pain, and angst she hid inside, struggling to keep herself small so those around her would still like her. It all came to a head on October 23, 2007, when her parents received a call that she was lying lifeless in the ICU in a hospital in Utah -- "You better get out here, your daughter is not going to make it." Fractured: My Journey Back from Death and the Lessons I've Learned Along the Way is the memoir of Elizabeth's recovery, spiritually, physically, mentally, and emotionally. It is about her deliberate decision to begin the hard work of finding and using her voice and the struggle to break out of the box that society tried to keep her in. This is the story of what happens when one woman stared death in the face and decided to make a conscious choice not to go back to sleep, but to wake up and live the life she knew she was meant to live.

“It’s been 10 years since I woke up in a hospital bed with a fractured neck, arm, shoulder, and other injuries. At that moment, overwhelmed with confusion and pain, I had no idea the journey to heal my body would lead to a complete transformation of my life. Fractured is about more than the events surrounding a near-death experience. It’s about realizing how a broken mind and a broken heart can be healed just like broken bones. It’s about finding your voice after a lifetime of silence, and about using that voice to change your world. It’s about realizing that life isn’t about what you have; It's about who you are. It's about learning to embrace fear instead of letting it paralyze you.  By sharing the events in Fractured, I want to show that living an authentic life is the key to self-acceptance and true happiness. Life is just oh so beautiful when you love yourself" - Elizabeth Antonucci

Christiane Northrup, M.D. REVIEW

“Fractured is the true story of what it takes to heal—deeply—after a shattering accident. It lays out in intimate detail the crucial work of binding our souls back together. And asking the deeper question “ Why me?” with elegance—and without a trace of victimization.”

Christiane Northrup, M.D., ob/gyn physician and author of the New York Times bestsellers:Goddesses Never Age: The Secret Prescription for Radiance, Vitality, and Wellbeing, Women's Bodies, Women's Wisdom, and The Wisdom of Menopause

INDIE READER REVIEW

Unlike others who have near death experiences and write about them, author Elizabeth Antonucci never succumbs to New Age psychobabble, but presents a clearly written book that will be of value for those who “fear fear.” - IndieReader
